Getting Creative

February has lead me to some wonderful and creative opportunities in a field that I rarely blog about on here; ACTING AND MODELING! Maybe it’s the lunar energy on my side, as this is my Birthday month, but it seems the serendipity has really found me this late winter. I’ve been able to collaborate with a couple photographers for creative outdoor shoots to advance both our portfolios. You ever been so warmed on the inside by good people and energy that you can’t feel the cold outside? This was that shoot.

Here is the incredible photographer’s website. There is a secondary theme we invented but I am saving those shots for a very special promotion of a certain *cough cough * music video I may be filming next month. So keep an eye on March’s blog for any *cough cough * updates and behind the scenes. Since you are such a dedicated reader as to have made it this far I will give you a hint ~ you like Poltergeist?

February as also given me a small dream come true in getting a role in my first SAG production! Per my NDA, you all must wait until the premiere for any details on that incredible gift! All I can say for the moment, is that I have been loving talking to fellow actors after a year of quarantine without my insane theater-friends. Actors need actors. We are the only people who deeply understand our exact brand of crazy. Talking with these people again feels like coming home. However long I’ve been living with my parents in MA this year, a part of me is always left on the stage, and in returning to it I have had a reunion with this part of me. Yes, all of that gushy actor-y mushy stuff and also, I am having so much fun prancing around a castle in a dress and getting paid for it.

The wild thing about living a freelance career after college is that you always feel like you’re flying or falling. I didn’t plan for this. I intended to go to a very structured apprenticeship program for a year somewhere on some stage that would have me studying and performing on a regular 9-5. I even planned to join AEA, and here I am joining the opposing force. For right now, I am exuberantly happy to say I’m flying.
